Summary

We aid helpless youths with education and skills required to move out of unceasing poverty. Our holistic approach gives adolescence in West Nile, Uganda and Africa the best chance of real, long-term change to break the cycle of illiteracy and their community at large. Our programs focus on 4 pillars that contribute to a brighter future: health, education, human rights, and livelihoods.

Challenges

Each community of adolescence has its own challenges and opportunities. With our local team, community focal voices, ambassadors, committees, and expert advisors, we design programs to overcome much pressing issues of youths locally. Getting an education is a challenge for many children, and adolescence is a time of physical and mental wellness or vulnerability. Even for the most ambitious young person, securing a livelihood when you're in poverty is almost impossible.

Solution

We improve access to vocational skills, sponsor the needy, enhance scholastic materials, and provide school going and after-school study mentorship spaces. By connecting youths to further learning opportunities and providing safe spaces for them to focus on their wellbeing and growth, we hope to set future opportunity filled ground. By empowering young females to be confident with realistic goals, they exceed being mere leaders to move entire communities out of poverty.

Long-Term Impact

Our equipped growth driven vision is to enable vulnerable youths have opportunity and ability to finish school, engage sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship skills, and further education for mindful life-choices they make about their health, as ‘health is wealth.’ FYMS transforms youths, children, and especially youthful females to choose meaningful path for good health, positivity, and their prosperous community leadership.
